Description
 
This poem was written when my best friend from high school had her first child. It was such a momentous moment (as they all are.) What a gift to the world! The drawing was done by my talented niece Emily while visiting me.  The minute I saw it, I talked her into letting me keep it. I love it's innocent simplicity and knew it was perfect for this poem.
